As the Women’s Advocate (Emerging) you will work alongside a men’s behaviour change program to provide support to those who have experienced violence and abuse.
Through advocacy, support and information you will enhance the safety and well-being of victim-survivors and resource them to thrive in a future free of violence and abuse.
As part of an energetic, supportive team working to increase safety for women and children, you will benefit from a shared learning environment, positive team and organisational culture, and a dedication to your wellbeing as you undertake this challenging work.
Ideally you will bring an understanding of gendered violence, a team approach to enhancing the safety of women and children, a understanding of the impacts of domestic abuse, reflective practice and cultural awareness.
Role location: Jimboomba and Slacks Creek – our Jimboomba office is only 40 minutes from Logan and Springfield and a one-hour drive from the Gold Coast
Role type: Part time fixed term / 4 days per week
Pay range: $38.65 an hour for hours worked based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available
