Men’s DFV Practitioner – Bundaberg

The primary purpose of this role is to engage with men who perpetrate domestic and family violence within the Child, Family & Community Services program. The Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Practitioner will support the coordinator and co-facilitators of the Perpetrator Intervention Program (T328) including the running of the Responsible and Respectful Choices Men’s Group program. Other responsibilities for this position include – general administrative tasks, conducting assessments, court support, engagement and follow ups with clients, managing data entry duties, and assisting with statistics and reporting requirements.

Additional information – the DFV Practitioner will provide court support for men ensuring they receive guidance and assistance throughout the legal process. The position will also involve networking with police, the criminal justice sector, and other agencies and services that work in the domestic and family violence field, fostering collaboration to enhance service delivery and outcomes for clients. Furthermore, the DFV Practitioner will receive training to serve as a backup co-facilitator, ensuring program continuity and effective delivery of services.
