This year’s SPEAQ Forum is taking shape! I’m pleased to confirm that the date for SPEAQ Forum 2021 is 7th – 8th October 2021 (Thursday and Friday).
The theme for this event will be Effectiveness – Intervention Programs and Beyond, exploring what contributes to effectiveness in DFV Intervention programs for those using violence, and the multiple ways in which they connect with the surrounding systems in the Queensland context. The conference will be held in Cairns.
Our main focus will be on supporting workers in DFV Intervention programs – facilitators, counsellors and advocates – and we welcome participation from people in related services. While we are looking at the Queensland context, we also welcome participants from interstate.
We’re also very pleased to announce publicly that we were successful in our application for funding in the last round of WorkUP Qld’s Collaborative Workforce Development grants, securing $10k towards the organisation and hosting of SPEAQ Forum 2021. Thanks WorkUP for your support!
